HOW HUB PAGES CURED ME FROM ADDICTION

Hi, Fellow Hubbers! Greetings to everybody!

For whatever reason you are here, hubbers or hubbers-to-be, I am very glad to meet you all.

Since 2006 I've been chasing rainbows, trying to create some sort of money venue on Internet to supply my lame attempts to support my family, which suddenly fell apart (my family, not Internet). I failed miserably.

Of course I found means to support them all right by working two jobs 15 hours a day on a minimum wage, because I was stupid enough and could not think what else to do. After all that work and home chores, I would sit at my computer trying not to fall asleep, trying to figure it out.

Every time you get into "Wild" World Web you see so much wonderful opportunities you are missing, they are everywhere. Big flashy websites. Easy quick money. The program works by itself. Just shed some money and they will teach you everything. In just 24 hours you'll be rolling in dough, buying ticket to Bahamas.

Opportunities how to earn money galore. Surveys, pay-per-clicks, e-Bay, Google, MLM, data entries (what data?)

Well, I think, I tried them all. No, not true. If you think about it, I never played Casino, never tried Forex, and never promoted porno. They say, it’s a very lucrative business, - I’ll pass. Though I bought a "system", how to win a lottery, please, do not laugh at me, please!

I survived 3 MLM companies with minimum blood (money) lost. I still think MLM is a huge opportunity, if you know how to play it right. If you can rent a big hall and suck in 100 people at once with "the best opportunity"! Most people never figure it out. And some are just too greedy and in a hurry to do it right. They turn the opportunity into a scam and spam, and reasonable people just run away in flocks.

I cannot say, that all information, that is selling on Internet is complete junk, probably there is some useful stuff, better be if they want you to pay $300+ for it. I never paid that much at once for a program, but everything I've bought was useless or irrelevant or attainable for free.

But I still hoped, I blamed my ignorance, stupidity, and inability to follow directions. I bought a lot of surveys, spent countless sleepless hours trying to do them, some pay-per-clicks, more pay-per-clicks, ad-words (can be very expensive), promoting some trash or plain BS you know nothing about, where you can make money in your pj and slippers, I even bought new slippers for that! I've read tons of motivational materials.

I am very motivational now. I know how not to do MLM . I know how not to work on Internet .

I practically can live by "think and grow rich" rules, I am ready to donate my old cat to charities (after he is dead, naturally, I love that scratchy bastard).

But no matter how often I chanted the word money; I still did not have a single extra penny in my pocket.

I had to find the right program.

I would earn some extra money traditional way and spend on line with no result to show, no bags full of money, just bags under my eyes.

Like an alcoholic or drug addict, only my addiction was making money online opportunity.

One day I do not remember when exactly, approximately about 3-6 months ago, I stumbled upon Hub Pages. I read some articles and then some more. Different topics, different ideas. How people work, what they think and dream about, their experiences and wishes and accomplishments. Everything. Simple information from ordinary people, just like me.

I've got so much useful information! I stopped buying useless programs. I learned a lot.

I bought myself a magnetic bracelet instead. I do not believe in magnetic power of a small thing, but it looks nice on me. I stopped being greedy and hopelessly addicted to buying into the right opportunity. Hubpages is a community of writers and writers-not-so, of writers-to-be, of people who love to share ideas, who expect money for that and who does not - we all here enjoying it. And a forum where we can share everything, and laugh, and cry, and worry, and make friends and even enemies.

I love you Hubbers! You gave me so much priceless information absolutely free.

I know now, that there is no "lotto-like" opportunity. You have to find your own path and follow your own "yellow brick road", and be patient and generous and help others on your way.

And you can get tons information from Internet for free, you just have to dig for it. Your own golden nugget from Internet - Klondike 2009. And you know what guys? I just realized one funny thing: NOW I AM ADDICTED TO www.hubpages.com! And I invite you to join us, to join Hubpages. Be addicted too, no side effects, I promise!
